Coloring The Kitchen Cabinets

The kitchen cabinets are among the first thing that you see when you walk into this room of the home. Instead of boring cabinets with a flat surface or those that have plain colors, consider kitchen cabinet remodeling¬†options that bring out your personality in the room. One of the things to keep in mind is that you want to keep the colors on the cabinets in line with the rest of the room. You don’t want to use too many colors in the kitchen, finding a theme that you enjoy as this is where you’ll spend a good bit of time preparing meals and eating with your family and friends.

Neon colors might not seem like they would be seen in a kitchen, but it’s one of the trends that you want to look for in the coming years. Orange and blue are at the top of the list. When you use the neon colors on the cabinets, you want to use black or gray as a base with the rest of the room to bring out the neon hues. Fun stools around a bar in the same colors and accessories, such as dish towels or even a small appliance or two, in the same color can bring a modern touch to your kitchen.

Darker shades also work well in the kitchen when it comes to the cabinets. Chocolate brown or even dark gray are good colors to start with. Pair the cabinets with a slightly brighter color or green, peach or blue for a beautiful look in the kitchen. The cabinets should rest against a wall that is in the theme color so that the cabinets are drawn out, grabbing your attention when you enter the room. If you like two different colors, then consider using both of them. Paint the upper cabinets one color and the lower cabinets another with a blend in the middle on the wall and with the accessories. The lighter of the two colors should be used on the upper cabinets, and the lower cabinets should feature the darker colors as you want your eyes drawn to the top half of the kitchen.
